Cell Phone Lanyards
So you spent a lot of money on a smartphone and now you are afraid that you will break it? It happens to everyone all the time, because the phones are getting smaller and smaller, they are easily dropped. One way to really secure your phone from falling is to use a retractable cell phone lanyard that is attached to your belt, or a loop on your clothing. The other end is then attached to the phone and you are good to go.
Many people who work jobs which have them in places where just can't drop the phone, but you might have to use it, use these retractable lanyards for the added security. Let's say that one is a construction worker, building a skyscraper - actually your cell phone is not the only thing you can't drop there. If you would drop the mobile phone, it would break or in worst case it would hit someone in the head and really do some damage, depending on the height where you dropped it from. The same thing goes for your tools, and that is why there are lanyards to keep all the tools in place also.
Many people use regular lanyards on their phones which are then hung from their necks. This is a very common method of keeping your phone at hand all the times and basically knowing where it is. Some of us have really trouble finding the phone when it rings, and this is a sure way to keep it at reach all times. Also it is a great way to avoid dropping it, since the main benefit that you get from using a lanyard is the fall protection. The best part these days is that there are all colors and materials that are used for lanyards, and you can use it in such a visible place as your neck and still look fashionable and make it fit your outfit.
So you have your phone that is stored on your belt in a case, and you add a cell phone lanyard to make it even more secure. The thing with cases is that when you are opening the case, the momentum that comes from opening the button or strap that keeps the holder closed, can easily throw the phone away from it. Also when you are pulling it out you are only holding it partially, and you are more prone to drop it. Most people drop their phones when they take it out of their pocket or a holder case.
